Rich YouTubers are about to go broke

YouTube is a lucrative cash cow for content creators worldwide, including Nigeria. For instance, Business Insider Africa estimated that Mark Angel, a Nigerian YouTuber, earned around $300,000 a month from his YouTube channel at some point in ad revenue, sponsorships, and merchandise sales.

Globally, we all know viral creators like MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), who turned his channels into multi-million dollar enterprises. We all know the kind of flashy cars and exotic lifestyles an average viral creator makes. These guys are rich, and some are definitely super-rich.

In Nigeria, we say, they blow up! Blowing up gets content creators paid, and this is not limited to YouTubers. But blowing up and getting viral attention may not last forever. We see Lucky Udu post videos of former celebrities who are now living in poverty or struggling really hard financially. You see former athletes in the US become homeless. Hence, this is not limited to YouTubers. If you make a lot of money now but have no plan for the future, you will find yourself lavishing your money now and blinded to the possibility of ever struggling financially later. That is why I encourage you to consider saving and investing your earnings.
