I abandoned LinkedIn for Medium & YouTube

I realized I am no longer as active on LinkedIn as I used to be. I find myself naturally gravitating towards platforms that pay me a token for the writings, small tasks, and videos that I make in my free time when not working on clients’ projects — Medium, YouTube, and so on.

The above is an earning from my main YouTube account where I teach Upwork freelancing but recently I am experiencing with pivoting to teaching other ways to make money online too. For example I made a little shy of $20 on Medium last month, October. Just unsubstantial peanuts from multiple articles of mine but gradually, it’s adding up and will snowball upwards into a few hundred dollars monthly on Medium.

I am familiar with how online streams of income grows. My freelance income which is in the six figure region in dollars started also with trickles like $5 here $25 there and steadily adds up into substantial sums over the years.

I also recently ventured into extra side hustles like app testing for a few more dollars.

However, I remembered LinkedIn has brought me way more connections and money than I have earned on all the other platforms combined. I am…
