Creating a Company in the US as Non-US Resident

If you want to start a business in the US but are not a citizen or resident, there are several ways to do it. Many people choose this route for various reasons. Since you live outside the US, you can choose any of the 50 states for your business.

Here are the most attractive choices for non-US residents:

1. Wyoming:

a. No state income tax (note that this is different from state fees). State fee is $104)
b. Anonymity for business owners
c. Fast processing times for business formation

2. Delaware
a. Business-Friendly Laws (State fee is $160)
b. Delaware does not require the names of LLC members to be listed in public records.
c. The state has a specialised court, the Court of Chancery, which handles business disputes efficiently.

3. New Mexico
a. Has low formation and maintenance costs. (State fee is $50)
b. The state does not require the disclosure of LLC members
